Coalition Statement Addressing Racial, Ethnic and Religious Hatred

In light of the grave acts of antisemitic violence and rhetoric worldwide in public and on social media the Madison County Racial Justice Coalition rejects all forms of antisemitism, expressed discrimination, intolerance, and hate speech, which dangerously serve to fuel hostility and violence against the Jewish people.

While freedom of speech and protest are at the heart of our democracy, we disavow any form of disparaging rhetoric and unequivocally condemn all attacks targeting Jewish people and their places of business, culture, and worship.
Instead, we seek to foster a diverse, just and inclusive society where all people and institutions are protected and free from acts of violence and hate-filled speech. Towards that end, the Madison County Racial Justice Coalition will continue to strategically work to address racial, ethnic, and religious hatred wherever it appears. We believe none of us is free until all of us are free.always does.
